After Director 12 Trial Windows 8 install, error on validating licence

Friends,

I just DL Director 12 Trial version (in French) on my Laptop running W8 French.

It installed fine, but then I got an icon "Adobe Application Manager" instead of the Director Icon I was expecting.

So, I ran that stuff and, after 15 minutes, I got a nice message (in French) telling me that I was installing a fake software, and that Cops were rushing to my home to take me to jail.

What is that kind of joke?

What is this "Adobe Application Manager" program for? To kill my week-end?
