After Effects 17.01 system requirements.

Wondering if my mac book pro with 8gb of RAM will in fact run after effects 17.01?

The system requirements say the minimum is double that amount RAM but I just don't want to let go of my machine. Its a beast that shows no desire to go into retirement.

Anyone with similar issue tried the install?

Adobe tends not to check the actual RAM, so it might install. When you don't have enough available RAM the performance can get very bad (hundreds of times slower), but if you have a subscription, give it a try...

Ah thanks! Yes I will....
I guess I can just go back to the old one if not right?
Its a shame, this laptop is still super quick 8 years on. Its unbelievable. I want to see how long I can go without upgrading.

Take care. You can't download old versions. Make sure that the Creative Cloud desktop app is set up to keep old versions, then you can keep both running.
