After Effects CS6 will not open, keep getting renew subscription dialogue

Hi,

I've been using After Effects CS6 to work on a project the last few days. I closed it this morning and came back to reopen it I get a "Renew your Subscription" notice.

I don't have to renew a subscription for After Effects CS6 as this was purchased retail years ago. I get the same notice for Photoshop CS6. Interestingly, I don't have this problem with Premiere CS6 for some reason.

I did have CC subscription for a few months because I needed the latest AE CC for a specific project. I cancelled my subscription as I no longer require it. So I'm guessing that this issue is somehow related to that.

I'm not finding any answers anywhere and this is causing me major headaches. Help!

Thanks,

Dale

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

after securing your serial number, uinstall cs6 (using the uninstaller)

remove your Adobe PCD folder and SLStore folders*

clean your computer of cc and cs6 files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall your cs6 and activate with your serial number.

For me, I only needed to install Adobe Application Manager 10.0 which magically allows CS6 to work even if you are currently subscribed to CC.
