Question

After the newest update I ended up with CS6 Extended. I only have CS6 Standard.

A few years ago, I bought the CS5 Standard disc. I upgraded to CS6 Standard online. I have a license for CS6 Standard. Yet after the newest update, Thursday, maybe, I now have CS6 Extended. What to do?

FYI: I use a 32 bit Dell Desktop PC with Windows 7 installed. I do have a membership to the Photography Plan, but, have none of those programs downloaded, except for the Cloud app. I got the Plan when I temporarily lost ownership pf my CS6. All that got worked out, so, I returned to my CS6 and did not use the Plan. I have to pay out my year's contract, but, as I say, I don't use any part of it except the desktop app. That is where I did the update to CS6, under 'Previous Apps'. When done, I had Extended. I really don't need Extended. I shouldn't even have Extended on my PC anywhere.

Thank you for your help. I will wait for your advice.

IF you installed the software thru the CC desktop then you get the Cloud offering, not the CS6 software you say you purchased separately.  If you are paying for the subscription then you might as well use what you have with it until it ends.  Then you can uninstall it all and get your CS6 reinstalled.

I didn't install CS6 through the Cloud. Only the update. The first thing that happened was I updated, from the Cloud App. I saw I got Extended. So, I removed all Adobe Creative Suite files from my pc. I went to Adobe and re-downloaded CS6 Standard from it's download page and installed it. An update popped up with the Cloud App. It said CS6 needed updating. So, I updated it. That is where I am getting Extended, apparently.

I tried to use CC but it kept crashing. I figured my pc couldn't handle it!

Should I just remove the Cloud App, then, remove all Adobe programs, then, do another download of Standard from the site? The contract on my Plan runs out in February and I intend to not renew it.
