I'm a happy Lightroom user,

now i want try Premier Essential after a very very (too?) long installation... setup ask me if i want to start a trial. After my YES, and after minutes,  setup stop inform me that: "The product that you are trying to install is not an original software"

What? Where is the problem?

I'm using a Win 8.1 PC.

Thanks!

Are you getting error message like "  "Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure. The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit." ??/

If yes , follow below steps :

    Step 1)

Launch Task Manager, click on More Details option  and end all Adobe related tasks.

    Step 2)

    Navigate to C: > Program Files(x86) > " Common Files"  > Adobe .

Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.

Unable to delete ?? try to rename . like OOBE-old and Adobe application manager-old.

    Step 3)

Click on the below link and download Adobe Application manager and install the same :

    http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/creativesuite/cc/win/ApplicationManager9.0_all.exe

Once the installation process is completed, locate Adobe Application Manager launch icon on Desktop and double click on it .

    It will start update process.

once it is completed, try to install the Adobe Premiere Elements 13 again , it should work .

Thank you Brucgovn for your answer,

I follow your steps but nothing...  setup stops and a warning appears again! "Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure......."

    Some another idea?

    Thank you!
