Akamai Netsession Interface errors causing windows to lose focus

A couple months back, I started to have this issue where randomly the games that I was playing would lose focus (essentially like an alt-tab). This would happen a couple times per day. I've tracked this issue down to Akamai Netsession Interface. I contacted Akamai, and they directed me to Adobe.

Here's the error information that I'm seeing in Event Viewer. Note that I am logging in to Windows with an Administrator account, and I do have permissions for this folder.

Product: Akamai NetSession Interface -- Error 1310. Error writing to file: C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Akamai\admintool.exe.  System error 0.  Verify that you have access to that directory.

Product: Akamai NetSession Interface -- Installation failed.

Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Akamai NetSession Interface. Product Version: 1.0.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Akamai Technologies, Inc.. Installation success or error status: 1603.

I assume re-installing Akamai would solve the problem, but no matter where I look, I cannot find a way to simply re-install Akamai Netsession.

Verathis the Akamai Download Manager will be reinstalled if you choose to download Adobe purchased software again in the future.  You can find complete details regarding the process at Find downloaded apps and files.   There is no need for the software to be installed after you have already downloaded your purchased Adobe software.

I've already seen that FAQ, it doesn't answer my question. It only shows how to uninstall, not how to reinstall.
