Question

Akamai won't' download

I purchased CS6 and followed the instructions for downloading.  Tried to download the Akamai downloader and it just quits when it gets to the "Select Destination".  I've un-installed the CS6 beta and made sure the popup blocker was off, but it just won't go.  I went to the alternate downloader and it won't do anything either.

I'm on an iMac with 16 gig of ram and plenty of space on the hard drives.

Any suggestions on what to do next or who to call for help?

Thanks,  Sue

I know it sounds silly, but try clicking the back button to go to the previous installation step and then click Next again (you may need to do this several times, but eventually you will be able to install). I read in several forums there is a bug in the MAC OS packager Manager (I guess this is the software user to to create the installation package that delivers the Akamai Download Manager) that causes this. You may see the same while installing different MAC OS software

Download the software as the trial as it will use the Download assitant manager  , once downloaded use your serial number to serialize it.
