Akami NetSession Interface Installation Failed - Help

Question

After upgrading to Adobe CC's photography package of Photoshop and Lightroom, my activation for CS3 expired. I am trying to get back Illustrator & InDesign. I don't use them often enough to warrant the monthly subscription and felt the older version sufficient.

I've followed the links to obtain a new serial number. I ran through the process to uninstall the CS3 version from my mac. *Note: I'm not sure if I truly uninstalled? Nothing happens when I initiate the process. I then jump to download the replacement installer for CS3, Akami Netsession. After launching the install of Akami, I received an error that installation has failed. I've opened up my privacy on Safari. I've also tried on Firefox. Any help? I'm at a loss.

I'm running Sierra 10.13.6

Jennye73408934, sorry you are facing problems downloading Creative Suite 3, using the Akamai Netsession download manager on macOS 10.13.6. You may have more success if you use a computer running an older version of Mac OS to begin the download process.

If you do not have access to an older Mac, then you can utilize the steps listed in Troubleshoot Adobe Akamai Download Manager downloads to resolve most errors.
