All Adobe Apps closes after a few seconds

I have recently resubscribed to adobe creative cloud. I was previously getting having an account through my organisation (in this case school).  When I try to load Photoshop, lightroom classic etc... it closes after a few seconds. No error message shown. 

 

I have uninstalled the creative cloud app using the application found here

I have uninstalled the apps. 

Interestingly now it wont let me reinstall the apps. It will let me install apps I have not had on the computer before. 

I have removed/renamed common files etc.

 

Any ideas on how I might fix this one?

in the future (and for others), in this order:


1. uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html


2. then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging


3. clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

then you can reinstall.

 

at this point, i'm not sure what's on your computer, but follow each applicable step above.  ie, if no adobe programs are on your computer, you can skip 1. if the cc app is not on your computer, skip 2.  step 3 can always be done.
