Hello.

Will be great to leave to your customers  access to old app version. Since a few monthes, you have removed access to these versions.

By example, used to work with Premiere 2017 and needed to reinstall it. Going to Creative Cloud desktop, surprise, these version was not  longer available. More, it was not available through community website. So the last version was installed (2022 or 2023) but there were some compatibility problems with title. After that spent another hours to find the closest to 2017 which was 2018.

So Understand, you don't assist people with old versions but if they are very stable on your system you don't need an assit.

============

Turn off Automatic App updates from your CC Desktop App.   You don't need to update to new versions if you don't want them.  If you decide to upgrade, keep your old version installed in case you need it.

Adobe assumes all users have the latest equipment and operating systems, no more than two versions back.  CC only supports the last two versions because old software may not work on newer OSs.

Direct Downloads CC 2017.   Be sure to follow the VERY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS.

Hope that helps.

Nobody should be using unsupported versions anymore.   In many corporate settings, the use of older versions is prohibited by company policy.

If someone insists on using an unsupported version, I'll give them the link but whether or not it works is their problem.  😈

Use the Creative Cloud desktop app to find and install previous versions of your Creative Cloud apps. We provide installers for our current apps and the previous major version of each.

More information is here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html#:~:text=Open%20the%20Creative%20Cloud%20desktop,down%20list%2C%20select%20Other%20Versions./KantimeHealth.net

Dear all,

Thanks for answer,

@kglad :  I used the prodesigntools, https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2017-direct-download-links.html. You will notice link to premiere 2017 is not working while others (by example illustrator 2017 provide an access to install program). Tryed to do it myself then with an online adobe helpdesk assistant who tryed to do that. Finally we spent one hour to install last version and upgrade drivers of graphic card to make it compatible with my PC. Finally after all these time, notice new version (2022 or 2023)  did not handle correctly titles object of my 2017 project. So prefer to spend another one hour to get an older version rathen than discovering other compatiblity problems using my projects.

@Manan Joshi and @Drummond27 It was the first think I did. Unfortunaly, while it was possible to download old versions before from Creative Cloud desktop, these options are now removed. I understand the new Adobe policy is to delete access to old versions. For reasons said in the original, will be great to allow access to these installer (by exemple through prodesigntools.com).

Hi @gabriel_adobi,

Adobe only supports the current and previous version of CC apps, so only they are available for download via the Creative Cloud Desktop app. See the the Adobe policy regarding this at the link below

for the current and one previous versions use the cc app:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html#:~:text=Install%20Previous%20Versions%20of%20your%20Creative%20Cloud%20Apps,drop-down%20list%2C%20click%20Other%20Versions.%20Does...%20See%20More.

for cc 2019 and earlier use prodesigntools.com*

for everything else, you must use adobe support** (and it may take a few tries to find an agent to provide links).

*

adobe download links prior to cc 2020 are available from prodesigntools.com. https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html

follow the directions (esp, step 1)

save the install file.  it may not remain online.

thank jim @ prodesigntools.com

**

use a browser that allows popups and cookies and contact adobe support by clicking here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human

p.s you can also use phone (but chat is usually quicker), https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html

p.p.s. you can also use twitter to tweet @AdobeCare

p.p.p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true
