Alternative methods to installing Premiere 6.5 on a PC with Windows 7 Enterprise SP1

I tried to install a copy of Premiere 6.5 on my work PC...It wouldn't take so I looked online and read up on Windows Compatability and tried that way and still it wont execute on the installer...What am I missing???

Premiere Pro 6.5 was released long before Windows Vista even so I am unsure you will ever be fully successful.  Do you receive any specific error messages when you try to install?

I can certainly appreciate that fact that this software is archaic to say the least, unfortunately my immediate resources are limited. to answer your question....NOTHING occurs...as if the exe file was not even there....
