Am I allowed to resell Adobe products that I have in box with serial? Products are CS5.5 & Acrobat X
I received many items from a company that was closing their office and among the items that I received is one boxed copy of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection and one boxed copy of Adobe Acrobat X Standard. Both contain their installation discs and have their corresponding serial numbers printed on the box, in the case of Acrobat, or on one of the paper sleeves holding an installation disc, in the case of Adobe Creative Suite. The compamy from whom I received these products stopped using both products years ago and has since upgraded to newer Adobe producs. I tested the installtion discs with their corresponding serial numbers on my laptop and both installed without any problems. I then deactivated both and uninstalled them as I have no need to use them.
I've spent hours on the phone with Adobe's support but was not able to get any clear answer that I was seeking. As far as I understand both of the products are of the type called "volume license". Furthermore, the email address under which these were originally registered doesn't seem to be one that corresponds to the company that had them in their possesion. I suppose that the company bought these products from another person. I have no invoice or documentation showing the transaction in which the company purchased these products. From my calls with Adobe, they told me, although didn't convince me completely, that it's not possible for the original purchaser of the licenses to somehow interfere with me or another person using these license keys.
Since I have no use for these items, am I permitted to sell these two Adobe items? Is there any issue with reselling these that may break Adobe's policies? I do not wish to break any licensing rules of Adobe and appreiciate any useful feedback.
