AMD Athlon II x4 compatibility

I have an AMD Athlon II x4 processor.  Assuming this is not compatible with Lightroom 4, what other software options do I have that might be comparable in quality and ease of use?

And what exactly do you want to do? That's a somewhat generic statment.... Anyway, within the realm of Adobe I don't see any solution. Adobe only sells current versions and they all require different processors. Only PSE 11 may still work on your machine, but even that may change with the next update... Your computer is simply "old".

Thanks.  I'm simply old too (one day you'll understand).  I'm a newbe to RAW files and looking for a user friendly software to digitally enhance my photos.  Lightroom 4 is highly recommended by peers.  Along with more lenses and larger backups, I guess I'll also have to add an upgraded computer to my shopping list.  Or, I'll learn to live with semi-pro photos.

Mmh, you might try OnOne's Raw solution. I think it's a bit more broadly compatible with older systems. Beyond that any Raw photography is like an eternal "dog chasing rabbit" with new cameras coming out every 3 months or so. At some point vendors simply have to move on, if you get my meaning...
