'Another installer is currently running, which must be closed before installing this product.' No installers are running.

I am trying to install a trial of Edge Animate and on both of my machines I am getting an error that forces you to choose quit.

'We've encountered the following issues: Another installer is currently running, which must be closed before installing this product. Please close or wait for other installers to complete.'

I have searched and can not see any other installers running.

I am currently running a trial of Captivate 8 also, could this be what is stopping me from also running a trial for Edge Animate?

I am running OSX 10.9.4

hey thomas i have been facing with the same problem when i was trying to install adobe photoshop cs6 extended version help me in solving the issue thanks in advance

Thomas_the_trainer have you checked your activity monitors for other installer instances?  If so then please reboot your computer and try the installation again.

Hi Jeff,

I have done and there are no other installers running at all.

I have tried a restart and I have also experienced the issue on multiple machines.

Thomas_The_Trainer then you may want to try running in Safe Boot or disabling any virus protection or system utility software which is interfering with the installation process.  You can find more details at OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
