App tab in CC desktop app has spinning wheel of death

Hi all, I'm getting so frustrated.

I have installed the CC desktop up, uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times in order to get this to work. To begin with it just showed up as a blank. Then it installed fine, but the app tab showed an error message. I found instructions on how to deal with that on the adobe website.

Now it all seems to have installed fine again and all tabs are showing except for the apps which just has a spinning wheel in the middle.

I installed the free trial of Photoshop yesterday and it worked. I wouldn't mind paying for it if it gave me a more stable connection or rather were to show up in the first place.
