Application Manager - Apps Won't Install as Creative Cloud or with Activation Code

I'm having trouble installing the Adobe CS6 Master Collection on my Macbook Pro (late-2011 version).  I was given an activation code by my school (an art school), but every time I try to install it, it gives me a message saying "Installation Failed". 

I also signed up with the Creative Cloud prior to receiving the code, but even then, except for the apps I had already installed previously as Trial Versions, in this case Premiere Pro and After Effects which work fine, the apps I try to download fresh through the Cloud will install up to a certain point, and then always fail suddenly.

It appears that ever since I signed up with the Creative Cloud nothing from Adobe will install, whether it's from the Cloud or from an Activation Code.  I've even tried other solutions such as dragging the files (from the disk image) onto my desktop, re-installing Application Manager several times, downloading trial versions, but nothing works. 

Will it help if I cancel my membership with the Creative Cloud?  I'm just afraid if I do so, I'll end up unable to install anything, especially the apps in which I already have, which will be inconvenient since I rely on them for my work.

Am I alone on this?  Is there something I'm doing wrong?  Any bit of information will help, thanks!
