Question

Application Manager installs with Audition CS6

I am under the impression that Adobe Application Manager is for the Creative Cloud suite of products only.

I HAD Creative Cloud on my Mac running OS 10.12.6 (Sierra) two years ago and then uninstalled it and returned to CS6. Audition CS6 is the ONLY Adobe application I have. Yet, despite running all uninstallers AND the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to completely remove any and all Adobe products – including Application Manager, when I reinstall Audition CS6, Application Manager returns.

If Application Manager is not required for CS6, I don't want it.

How do I remove it WITHOUT damaging the Audition install or causing other headaches?

Thanks.

At some time in the past (I think over a year ago) Adobe decided that the Cloud application manager would be expanded to include CS6, so it replaced the CS6 update manager... if you want it to, or not

Over on the Windows side it is fairly easy to stop a program from running at startup (see below, for any Windows users) so you need to find out how to modify your Mac startup

How to disable a program in Windows startup

-Right click the 'window pane' in the very bottom left corner of the Windows desktop

-Select Task Manager in the pop up option window

-Click More details if you don't see startup

-Select the Startup tab inside Task Manager

-Select the program you want to disable

-Click Disable in the bottom right corner

-BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU DISABLE SO YOU DON'T STOP WINDOWS FROM RUNNING
