Marhaba Sarah,

Kindly follow these steps in order to get ME features

First, Uninstall your Adobe applications that doesn't support Arabic, click on the down pointing arrow beside each application in the Adobe CC desktop menu.

Second, go to the Preferences window

Third, in Preferences, click on the Creative Cloud tab on top, then choose "English يدعم العربية" from the language list

Fourth, start downloading Adobe applications once again now. Remember Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign will support Arabic fully. However other Adobe application may be limited in such support.

All, it is downloaded and given access to me by my university because I am currently doing my masters and I am using all the adobe products. mostly illustration and indesign for typing. however I need to be using arabic type as I live in the middle east and it is not working when i type in arabic it comes out in weird boxy symbols or broken up arabic text. because it is not the middle eastern version.

Try asking your question in the InDesign forum. You will likely get a faster solution there. The Lounge Forum is really just for off topic subjects and not really monitored.
