Are Adobe CC files compatible between PC and MAC?

OMG: my question: Are files created on a MAC Adobe CC compatible and therefore able to be opened on a PC with Adobe CC? (and I agree with many commenters about it being difficult to find answers or heaven forbid, to get in touch with them.)

Correct answer John Waller

‌Many design agencies, freelancers and hobbyists (myself included) have a mixed PC/Mac workflow.

I have never had any issues opening Adobe files on either platform.

Perhaps the only issue I can think of is the use of Mac only or Windows only fonts. e.g. Opening an InDesign document (created on a Mac) in Windows I sometimes get font substitution warnings.

Hi there,

Thanks for the quick answer. couldn’t find anything on Adobe site with that answer.

Only reason I need the answer is because our company is not keen on having to provide mac tech support to us (there are only 2 of us who have macs out of about 1500).

But we use files from various agencies and share our own files with others as needed too. So, before we make the move to PC we have to be sure everything will work smoothly between us and our providers and stakeholders who will still be using Macs.

Thanks again,

M Moore
