Question

Are domains (.com, .net, .co, etc) purchased through adobe portfolio affected when cancelling a membership?

I just need my subscription to adobe creative cloud to be cancelled for a short while (a few months) and then I will sign back up again after, and my concern is that the website domain that I purchased through adobe portfolio (portfolio.adobe.com) a while back will be disabled or cancelled as well? Is there any chance that the purchased domain will be unaffected by the status of the account it was purchased on? And if I cancel and sign back up with the same email will the website still be there?

This describes how to integrate your own domain name - which you buy and own elsewhere https://help.myportfolio.com/hc/en-us/articles/208925318-I-already-have-a-custom-domain-and-I-want-to-use-it-with-Adobe-…

Adobe also have a system where Portfolio integrates with a name provider, but they don’t answer this question. So register your own with your favourite provider but make sure it allows DNS editing.

Hi Tina,

I didn’t know that Adobe sells domain names now. What is your domain name and may be we can have an answer.

As Ned said, if you are on an annual subscription you really need to get the correct month for cancelling. If you are at the beginning of your year, you probably are best off to continue. If you are at your last month there will be no problem.

I don't know the answer to your wondering, but the terms should be defined in whatever documentation/agreement comes with the site.

Just so you aren't one of the folks that come back to cry foul and complain they didn't know... unless you have a month to month subscription (not a yearly subscription paid monthly) cancelling a subscription comes at a price of 1/2 the remaining cost for the year.
