are updated versions redundant and shall I remove them?

Photoshop v 25.1 and Photoshop (Beta) v 25.2 are both auto-updated. Shall I remove Photoshop v 25.1 manually? A similar situation exists with Illustrator v 28.0 and Illustrator (Beta) v 28.1. Do I need to keep both versions of each app? Shouldn't auto-update have removed the older versions? Do I need to keep both versions?
