Both CC and CC 4.4.0.294 are on my hard drive

Both CC and CC 4.4.0.294 are on my hard drive and each folder is using 272MB of space. The folder CC 4.4.0.294 is dated 02/06/18 and the folder Adobe CC is dated 02/18/18. They appear to have the same content in each folder. Can I delete the oldest version without causing any harm? Is there a good reason to have both versions installed?

update your cc app and then you can delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud_4.4.0.294

p.s. it's always prudent to rename a file/directory before removing it. wait a few days and restart your computer, at least, once to confirm there are no problems before removing.
