Bridge is stuck. Tried reinstalling Bridge v11.1 on an iMac (mid 2011) running High Sierra 10.13.6

Bridge 2020 was working until it froze. Tried force quitting using "option/command/esc" but it wouldn't close. Tried re-installing, but it still does not open.

Very frustrated.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Adobe expects all users to have the latest operating systems, no more than 2 versions back.  

Please consult current Creative Cloud & Bridge System Requirements. I think you need Catalina or higher now.

Correction:

Actually I tried force closing it with "Control/command/escape".
