Buying a new computer

I think it really depends on what you want to do.  And then before you buy, think about how your creativity could evolve in the future.

For example, I was doing primarily 2d artwork and photo editing.  Now I am doing animation and I have the ability to do some 3D work as well.  So, realize what you buy should adapt along with how you evolve.

I use a Wacom MobileStudio Pro 1 and Cintiq Companion 2.  Being able to draw directly on the screen was a game changer for me.  I could do things 10 times faster.  Both run Windows 10 and can still be hooked up to a Mac as well.  Wacom also just announced the the MobileStudio Pro 2.  

Other people I met prefer a mouse or an Intuos.  So it really depends on on what you would like to do. 

But do think about how you will evolve or what other pieces of software you might want to try.  Example... doing character artwork led to me working with Adobe Character Animator and even Adobe Audition.  I also now create videos showcasing my work and sometimes live stream my work process.  So... think about the types of artwork that you would like to explore in the future.

What specific version of Photoshop and Illustrator do you have? Please be exact, don't say "latest".
