C3 Activation issues after Windows 10 update

After Windows 10 updates my Photoshop C3 kept asking me to re-activate. I have the serial number but when I sent to the Adobe site it told me to get a changed one, uninstall Photoshop and then reinstall from their link. I did all this and still have exactly the same problem. I cannot access Photoshop because it says it isn`t activated. I`ve wasted hours on it and really need some help.

Adobe no longer supports that very old version (CS6 is newer, and is also not supported)

CS3 and Acrobat 8 activation server is retired see reply #1 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2372929

-you MUST use the special serial number AND the special installer you download, not your originals

-above includes a link to get the special version AND links to help with activation problems

-more information on activation problems with the new version https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2385900

Even with the above information, CS3 is so old that it may not work on Win10

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)
