Camera Raw 7.4 install issue

Using latest version Adobe App Manager, cannot install Camera Raw 7.4. Worse, just attempting the update reverts me to CR 7.0! In Forum, JatinDembla offers the absurd suggestion of uninstalling everything and re-installing everything (is this guy really a staffer? Really?Is his manager out of his mind?) Thanks, but am using latest aam: Version 7.0.0.324 (7.0.0.324), very different from the earlier versions.

BTW, the version you suggest appears to be for CS5; I'm on CS6.

Again, the totally crazy thing is that attempting to install the 7.4 makes Camera Raw go backward in time to 7.0, losing superior lens correction!
