After x-times trying and re-traying - all advices executed, restarting, clean re-installation of Photoshop CS6, i always get error code U44M1I210, when i try to update Camera Raw to v. 8.3.

Is there no "stand-alone" version of Camera Raw 8.3 available? Or another really helpful advice?

Thanks in advance.

Will give you some idea of how to troubleshoot the installation logs to track down the problem. Have you tried it?

Thanks Michael, read it all thru, did what seemed useful - no chance. Still the same error code.

But, luckily, i found a site where ACR 8.3 could be downloaded as a stand-alone part. Installation worked fine, now Photoshop CS6-ACR 8.3 Combo is up to date and able to open Nikon Df-files.

Adobe should change the update-routines integrated in the applications, they rarely work fine!
