Can a CS6 disc be used to upgrade CS5?

Just bought and installed the full version of CS6 on a MacBook Pro.  Can I use that disk to upgrade an iMac running CS5?  How many computers can a license (home, not business) cover?

Full version is not an upgrade, it comes with its own serial number and is independent of the previous version. An upgrade version requires you to have the serial number of the older version if the old software is not installed on the computer.

A traditional commercial license allows two activations that are allowed to be used by one and only one user. The user is not allowed to use the different software from the suite on the two different computers simultaneously.

Thanks, Michael, for the prompt reply.  Regarding the license, that's what I thought.

Instead of spending another $199 on the upgrade, I would like to uninstall CS5 and then install CS6.  Doable? When the time comes, I can deactivate the MacBook CS6 and add the 2nd iMac (I hope) to the license.

By the way, my CS5 was an upgrade and I couldn't find the license for the previous complete version.

Again, thanks.
