Can anyone help me with problems re-installing CS4?

I've had to re-install CS4 and despite downloading every single update etc I can lay my hands on it still won't read the RAW images in Bridge it was happily reading before I un-installed it and I can't get my Epson printer to work with it - all looks great until the printer icon just flashes up and disappears after 2 secs and zero printing occurs.  Adobe aren't interested, told me to go and buy CS6, but I haven't got £650 and don't see why they should stop giving help just because they've got a newer version....  Any ideas???

It's reading the Nikon D300 Raw files, it's the ones for the D3X it won't read, I've put in Camera RAW 5.7 - I think I'm completely up to date on the updates for both...

5.3 or better should read nikon D3X files.

    what os?

    what cs4 program/suite?

    why did you re-install cs4?

was there any problem re-installing cs4?

does everything in cs4 work except your printer and reading raw images?

    OSX 10.8.3

    Adobe Photoshop CS4

Because my computer had so many glitches and the USB ports had stopped working.  I got the whole thing cleaned up and they installed Lion on it, tho' I had Leopard before....

I thought I'd give it a go taking it off and re-installing it one more time, was in the middle of doing this when i got your reply, the photoshop programme itself has installed fine and I've managed to get on all of the updates so I'm completely ready to roll. Unfortunately it's just the same as before, I can read the RAW files from my D300, so it must be the latest RAW update that's not working I guess.

The other problem I'm having is when I go to print something it goes the whole way through the process until I close the window, the icon appears and then disappears a second of two later and nothing else happens.  If it makes any sense of it, the other computer I've got sharing the printer (wirelessly via this one which is connected by USB) won't let me print saying the printer is not connected.  However if I try to print a test sheet from this computer all is fine so it's got to be a photoshop issue i reckon.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

if that's a nikon D300, you need camera raw 4.3 or better.  which camera raw is installed?

if you're unable to update camera raw via help>update, you can use a direct update:  http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4680

for you printer, check for updated drivers:  http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/SupportIndex.jsp
