Can CS5 be used with Photo Elements 9?

    Well, they are separate programs. Not sure what specifically you are looking for. Of course PS CS5 can function as an advanced editor for images, but beyond that they don't interact.

    Sorry I failed to mention that I have the CS5 Upgrade

    - says I need PS 6, 7 or 8

    Yes, PSE9 is a valid upsell path for PS CS5. You can simply install PS CS5 and when asked for the previous version serial key, type in the code and you ae good to go.
