my old pc with windows 7 is dying a slow death...Can I add my current CS4 to my new computer that has Windows 8.1?

    Your license allows you to have two activated installations.  If the old machine is not going to be used you should deactivate the software on it so that the extra activation is still available.  As far as getting CS4 on a Windows 8 machine goes, there might be some compatibility issues but you can certainly try.  Search Google using terms like "CS4 Windows 8 compatibility" if you want to find out if others have issues and how they resolve them.
