Can I download my older CS5 apps?

Before everything went to the Cloud. I owned licenses for Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator version CS5.

The new laptops no longer have dvd drives.

Is it possible for me to download the CS5 applications I already purchased?

Thank you.

CS5 Direct Download Links below.

In order to get them, you must follow the  Note: Very Important Instructions otherwise you'll get an "access denied"  message.

Thanks for confirming Kevin.

The only thing that I was slightly concerned about was that if you install a CS6 or CS5 etc installation as standalone - will the Adobe update servers still actually work correctly?.

I had a suspicion that the update server may still look for existence of Creative Cloud ?.

Best way is to try it I guess. an SSD is not a lot of cash and this would be a neater solution.

Have you validated the stand alone solution working with Engineering ?

If same as CS6 Premiere you have to get download links for CS5 stuff via Support if you have a valid licence.

However ....

I have wasted hours trying to get the last updates for CS6 Premiere and Encore CS6, just before they were end of life. Gave up.

The links John T Smith kindly posted look as if they are there, but Adobe have deleted the files or server. Nice one Adobe.

The fact that the older legacy CS6 Appls cannot sit alongside the new Cloud Suite Appls to get the old updates (after re-installation)  is a joke considering we have all paid for this stuff.

Regarding the link above about uninstalling all your latest Cloud Suite/Creative Cloud Desktop, ..... then installing the Older legacy CS6 stuff first, updated by using the Help>Updates option is risky?. I think they may not work as the update server/files may not be there?.

Has anyone successfully done this and got 6.0.5 update for Premiere and 6.0.2 update for Encore ?.

If it doesn't work, that means you have wasted a load of time uninstalling your latest Cloud Suite Appls.

However if someone has got this to work, please tell us.

If it works, one way to possibly avoid this in future is to create a dual Windows 10 boot environment on the System C drive so the older legacy CS6 Appls only sit on the new System Partition. That way they don't interfere with the current Cloud 2019 Appls on the other partition (that’s the theory). I might try this next time 'I dig the road up' on my PC for major maintenance and reimage/reinstall everything.

I also found out that nothing downloads from the links they have posted because Adobe removed the .dmg downloader files for the older apllications from the server. I feel they should put them back on the server.

Nothing went to the Cloud. Creative Cloud apps install locally just like older ones. Silly name, really.

I don't know... I posted information, and an employee said the download link is not supposed to be active... but worth a try... or just buy a $20 external DVD drive

A different solution is to copy the content of the DVDs to a stick or a different media and instal from there. I always copied the disks to my harddrive because installing was much faster then. And you didn't need to shuffle the disks...
