It depends on what you purchased.  If you are asking about a Creative Cloud subscription, then yes, you have the ability to install and enable on either or both platforms.  If you are asking about a CS version, unless you purchased a multiplatform license, which is not at all normal, you can only use it on the platform for which the license was generated.

i just purchased the photoshop and lightroom .  i don't ever remember specifying anything.  i just pay 9.99 a month!  aaaccck!

That is a subscription, so yes, you can install on both of the machines if you like, just be sure to install the correct platform version for each
