Can I remove...

Just installed CS5.5 and it came with a bunch of things that I am not interestd in. I would love to remove:

  • Adobe Media Encoder (600MB)
  • Adobe Device Central (192MB)
  • Adobe Extensions Manager (99MB)

I'm not sure what these apps do, but together that is nearly a GB of space. Are these important? Will removing them prevent Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign from running properly?

Thanks.

Correct answer Mylenium

You cannot remove them. They are hooked into the main programs and required e.g. for Flash encoding from InDesign.
