Can I still use CC if I cant upgrade Mac OS?

Hello all-

i am using an older MacBook Pro from mid-2009. I apparently can‘t upgrade the OS beyond El Capitan 10.11.6.

i am using Creative Cloud but I understand the new upgrades wont work on El Capitan. Will I still be able to use my CC apps if I dont/can‘t upgrade? And if I can‘t upgrade will the 2018 version still be supported?

Many thanks.

Hey Floralcaster,

You can still use CC2018 and earlier versions on El Capitan. There's no guarantee that 2018 will be supported indefinitely, but given the fact that you can still access and install all previous versions of CC through the Desktop, I think you're safe for awhile.

Adobe's word on the matter:

"If you’re running Windows 8.1, Windows 10 v1511 and v1607, or Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan), you can continue to run and install previous versions of Creative Cloud applications.

"Creative Cloud Desktop app, which manages application installations, will continue to be supported on Windows 7 or later and Mac OS X v10.9 or later, so that if you're unable to upgrade your OS right now, you can continue to use earlier versions of Creative Cloud apps."
