Can I uninstall/re-install this membership & products from my old PC to a new PC?

I'm purchasing a new computer and would like to add my membership and install the products I've subscribed to onto it. Can I do that?

Thanks

Norma

Hi Norma,

I don't know the anwser but I want to do exactly the same thing and thought if I joined the thread I'd be notified of a solution if someone does come up with the answer. You would think it must be allowed and easy to do, I'm surprised it's not in a FAQ.

Hello Norma,

Adobe has prepared this:

Learn to activate or deactivate Adobe applications >>> Deactivate an app >>> What is deactivation?  >>> Deactivation disconnects an app from a valid user license. Once deactivated, you can reactivate an app at any time, if you choose. You do not need to uninstall an app from your computer to deactivate it. Uninstalling an app does not deactivate its license.

AND

A single license for Adobe software lets you install an app on two computers—for example, at home and in the office. If you want to install the app on a third computer, first you must deactivate one installation of the app. Here’s how. aso.   see text

So you don't need to activate or deactivate in this case.

Hello Hans,

Thank you for your quick response. I now have another question. When I deactivate it from my old PC & re-activate onto my new PC where would I see my valid user license in case of re-installing issue's?

Thanks for that link.

Hello Norma,

the easiest way: you should have a look at Adobe's database, to see what's stored/saved about your accounts. Here you will find general infos about your Adobe Account: https://accounts.adobe.com/>>> see My productsView all >>> These registered products are associated with your Adobe ID. >>> Name >>> Serial number.

And if of interest: to find your serial number have a look there http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html  >>> I lost my serial number >> see comment. The last time Adobe suggests so too this

@ Duncan: No problem to join a thread. If you don't find an answer here, you can open an extra post, of course.
