Can I uninstall & reinstall creative cloud software without causing problems with photoshop etc

Question

I need to uninstall so that I can install the latest version. I had to do a restore on my PC. Now the libraries won't work ( I have tried all of the ideas on the help page) and I notice that my CC software is not the current one. I have downloaded the current version but It won't just update it.

Sign out of your account... Uninstall... run the Cleaner...

-for non-Cloud programs you need to DE-activate before uninstalling

-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html (and uninstall)

-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling is often needed

-Restart your computer... Sign in to your account... Reinstall

Thank you. I finally got to do this and it has worked. My libraries are also now working. My onscreen option to open recent files still doesn't though - I can live with that when everything else is OK.
