Question

Can I upgrade in the middle of a project?

I am currently using Production Premium CS5 and I want to upgrade to CS6.  I have a very large complex project in the works right now.  Should I wait until I'm done with this project, or will the upgrade carry my projects across to the new version?

Projects from older versions can always be opened in newer versions, but in your case I wouldn't do it. MediaCore, several footage formats, the media cache and so many other things have changed in CS6 and you would hate for things hitting the fan just because you no longer can read XDCAM files or Gamma settings have changed. If you're worried about teh upgrade policy, feel free to buy CS6 and install it, but I realyl wouldn't switch production. Perhaps some more specific inquiries in the Premiere forum may put your mind at ease...
