Can I use my old Design Suite CS5 on my new MacBook Pro?

I bought the Design Suite CS5 two, three years ago and now I have bought a new MacBook Pro. I've heard that I cannot use the programs that I bought, and that I now have to start subscribing to the programs using Creative Cloud. Is this true?

Absolutely untrue.  Download, install, and activate your software from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-product-downloads.html

Deactivate the software on your old computer if you don't use it any more.
