Can't Activate/Validate My Copy of Creative Suite 6 (Legitimate Copy)

I can't activate my copy of Creative Suite 6, Design & Web Edition). I seem to be having 2 problems.

I know it's a legitimate copy, not counterfeit. I bought it at the University bookstore when I was in grad school, not through Amazon or a 3rd party online. It's registered to my account & has been since I bought it. I've never shared the serial number. My old laptop died & I'm now trying to install it on my new laptop. I'm on a Win 11 machine & I know the programs run fine because my previous laptop was also running Win 11. It won't validate, apparently for 2 different reasons.

Problem the first - Creative Suite can't connect to the internet. I have no idea why. So, I attempted to do the offline validation. Where I ran into problem #2.

Problem the second - When I put in the request code & the serial number, I get an error message saying that I have CS6 activated on more than 2 computers & it won't give me a response code. I managed to deactivated it on my old laptop during a brief sign of life. I don't have any other computers I'm using. I haven't always deactivated it on previous laptops, partially because I didn't know I needed to but mostly because I couldn't. I tend to use a laptop until it dies, although in one case, the laptop was stolen. When I look at my account to see what machines are activated, it says I don't have any.

So, according to Adobe, I have zero copies of CS6 activated but somehow also have more than 2. The online chat is no help. It just tells me there's no support for CS6 anymore. Which, I don't need support for the programs -- they run just fine. I need support for Adobe's verification system. I'm assuming what I need is some kind of reset on the activated copies but I have no idea how I would do that.

Thanks!

Smithing, thanks for posting your question about managing your Creative Suite 6 activations to this public discussion forum.

Please see https://adobe.ly/40Sq4l0 where I have discussed the process of managing and maintaining your activations in 2025.  If you have exceeded the amount of allowable activations, Smithing, then see the section titled, "What is required to successfully deactivate my Adobe desktop software." for information on how to deactivate the software on a previous computer.

If you no longer have access to the previous installations, Smithing, to complete the deactivation process for Creative Suite 6, then you will need to look for a new solution for your creativity needs. ^JW
