Can't download free InDesign trial onto mac!

Please could someone help me! I need In Design and possibly illustrator for my uni project however downloading the free trial is proving difficult. I have all the up to date software on my MacBook Air and 49GB free storage! What could be the problem as it says "This computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for InDesign CC. Please refer to the system requirements in the Help documentation for a full list of hardware and software requirements for InDesign CC."

what's your os?

if it's 10.11 or better, install the cc desktop app from here https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and use it to install the trials/subscriptions.
