Can't download my CC onto my Mac w Core Duo processor which can't run above OS 10.6.8

I bought Creative Cloud in March for a class I was taking in Adobe Illustrator, I downloaded it to my laptop (a MacBook running OS 10.6.8) and it worked fine. I had to drop the class and now I'm taking it again so I tried to download CC to my desk top computer (also a Mac) that has a 19" screen (and also runs OS 10.6.8) but I can't  download the NEW version of CC (that was released in June) because the new version requires OS 10.7. My desktop computer it turns out, can't run system 10.7 because it has a Duo Core processor (and not a Duo 2 Core processor). So I need to somehow get the previous version of CC that will run on system 10.6. Has anyone else had this problem and/or does anyone have any ideas? I really want to work on my big screen computer.
