Can't go back to CS 5.5 on macOS 10.12.6

I'm retiring and don't want to continue paying $49/month for CC, so I downloaded CS 5.5 but when I click the application is says: “Install.app” can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.

I'm on Mac OS Sierra version 10.12.6... This is probably the reason, that my OS is too new. Does anyone know if this is the case or can recommend a work-around? I'd like to have this older version for the very limited number of projects I might do in the future.

    Sorry that you are having trouble installing Adobe CS 5.5 on your new operating system Mac OS Sierra, i would recommend you to try the troubleshooting given in the following help document and see if that helps: Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).

    Let us know if that works.
