Can't install Adobe After Effects

I just got the free trial of After Effects to try it out, and I can't seem to install it. I'm getting error code 206 and every solution that Adobe's solution page or AI Virtual bot gives me doesn't work and still won't allow me to install it, with the same repeated error code 206 no matter what. Does anybody know of any solutions on how to fix this or a work around, or potentially just why it won't install?

 

This is frustrating given its during my trial period so every day that goes by is one lost to learn and experiment, and even more frustrating that there seems to be no way to contact an actual person from Adobe for help.

Error Code 206 is a network connection failure.

Make sure your computer meets the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on these systems, no more than 2 versions back:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 24H2, 23H2; Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
  • MacOS 15 (Sequoia), 14.7 (Sonoma), 13.6.7 (Ventura).

Same issue, how infuriating. Why even offer a free trial if you won't even let them install the products in your free trial? This is why people resort to piracy, and honestly I do not feel bad for the company.
