Hi KieranBrennanDublin,

the Adobe Apps don't like case-sensitive file systems, such as HSFX (HFS+) or UFS
Please take a look at this help page: Adobe error "Case-sensitive drives not supported" or similar install error | Mac OS

The only solution is to install the Creative Cloud and its Apps on a non-case-sensitive drive.

Kind Regards,
Maurice

It's been almost a decade and Adobe refuses to support case-sensitive volumes. It's rather sad.

I understand them. First: Windows is still case insensitive and programs need to work on both systems. Second: This is error prone, when you first coded case insensitive. And even after a decade you still have old code that you do not want to break, not to talk about old code you did not write yourself, but that you are using...

I don't understand this rational. Countless programs run on Window and Mac (+ Linux). What issues would you run into with Adobe that you wouldn't run into with Microsoft Word on the OS's. Any answer that can be provided should be questioned against "is that based on Adobe's design that causes that problem?" I could at least accept if they allowed the OS filesystem to be case sensitive but any media must be saved to a non-case sensitive file system.

Reformatting is extreme, esp for the OS partition.

Thanks Maurice;

I've re-formatted the HD and all is well.

Thanks again
