Can't re-install Lightroom from Creative Cloud

Hi everyone,

 

After I needed to uninstall Lightroom Classic via Creative Cloud, I can't seem to reinstall it (LR classic 10.4) from CC again. Downloading the install program stops with error code 116.
I am running on Big Sur, my iMac's hard drive has about 150 Go free so this should not be a problem.

Before all this, my problem was Lightroom couldn't save the catalog anymore. I've tried different options, even running on a former catalog version from a few weeks old, it would open and run with it no prob but would'nt save again the catalog anymore (error message "no permissions allowed etc"). I finally thought the soft had a problem, hence the uninstall/reinstall.

My urgent concern is to install LR back now, but if you can also solve the original problem about saving the catalog as well it would be fantastic. Hope you can help. Thanks

Thanks GoldingD for your quick reply. Yes I was referring the the desktop Creative cloud app. I think I have the answer and it’s not an antivirus either (nor a vpn in the way) :
Strangely, while I was really keeping an eye on my boot drive’s space, and I was relying on the 150Go as displayed, it seemed to have actually way less space left. Maybe because yesterday’s new image downloads from my heavy camera files were too recent they weren’t taken in consideration yet, I guess.
I realized this possibility when after several reboots it finally showed 19Go free, which is extremely too low and was making the mac start refusing any basic operation. More importantly this is coherent with Adobe CC app refusing to install LR back, and also with my former LR not saving the catalog file anymore.
The mystery is just why in the world my drive wouldn’t show its true capacity on time. And I will today bring the mac to an apple care so as to boot it back to the state it was on my Time Machine, fortunately dating yesterday just before all this.

Error 116, Anti Virus may be in the way.

    Are you refering to the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App (ACCDA)?

    Does it list Lightroom Classic as a piece of software you can install?
