Can't reinstall Adobe Acrobat from my Design Standard 5.5

I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat from by computer, it was part of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard. When I tried to reinstall Acrobat from the disk, it says my serial number is invalid, which it isn't. I tried live chat with Adobe but they were unable to help me. I use Acrobat for work and school so I really need to get this resolved.

Is the disk you mention part of the CS5,5 Design Standard installation disks?

Yes, and there is just one disk. I have tried deactivating Photoshop so it will let me license the product again, but I can’t deactivate. I’ve also tried un-installing the entire suite and then re-installing, but I am unable to uninstall.

You should contact Adobe Support by chat and have them deactivate for you if you are not able to.

I don't know if it is an issue with CS5.5, but I also have not been able to uninstall it.  I had Flash CS5.5 as a subscription and no longer need it, but it fails to uninstall.  Using the CS Cleaner Tool leads to scary things happening ....where I choose for it to only clean up CS5/CS5.5 and it indicates it wants to clean everything... I won't go near allowing that.

If you want to try the Cleaner for yourself, you might have better luck....

I don’t need help finding my serial #, I have the proper serial number. Because I uninstalled Acrobat, from Creative Suite, there is issues with trying to reinstall Acrobat. One suggestion was to open Photoshop and deactivate it so I could license the product again with the serial #. I was unable to deactivate. The next suggestion was to uninstall the entire Suite and reinstall. I was unable to uninstall so now I’m looking for help to uninstall.
