Can't Reinstall Adobe CC

Hi! So, I was having some problems with my Adobe CC account, and went to uninstall my programs so I could reinstall later. Only, I trashed them rather than going to their folders to click to uninstall them (I severely misunderstood the proper way of going about this). I've tried to use the Adobe Uninstaller, and when that repeatedly didn't work (error code P1), I downloaded the Adobe Cloud Cleaner Tool. It worked on everything aside from 'Fix Host File'. I've tried just about everything to fix the host file, because I'm guessing that's why the uninstall isn't working, and have searched through page upon page of guides and possible solutions (from typing different commands into terminal, to deleting specific unneeded folders/files, restarting my computer probably 20 times), but to no avail.

Nothing has worked, and at this point I don't know what else I can do. Should I delete the host file as well? I didn't see anything telling me to do that, so I'd rather wait for a response before damaging anything further. Also, the Uninstaller kept saying something along the lines of 'uninstalling will affect your adobe cc apps', even though I made certain I deleted all of them, and just now when I double-clicked to try again/check what the exact phrasing was, it no longer opens. So... I really don't know what's going on. Thank you!

For reference, I have a Macbook pro (10.12.6)

I just tried that, yeah. The uninstaller still won't open, and the cleaner tool still says cannot fix host file. It's the same as on my regular account.

At this point I'm really at a loss, and I need the programs for my classes... Is there some sort of help/support number I could call? I went on the contact us page and couldn't find Adobe CC as a listed issue, and I didn't see any other way of contacting other than 'chat', although when I selected creative suite as my issue (it was the closest one I saw), the chat option did not show up. This is just a somewhat time sensitive issue, so the sooner I can figure this out the better.

Yes, Kelseyjoyl, please begin a chat session at Contact Customer Care so that direct assistance can be provided to resolve Error Code P1.

Kelseyjoyl, sorry to hear that you are facing Error Code P1 when attempting to install the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application.  You can find the steps to resolve the error at How to fix the "Failed to install" error when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app .  I would recommend you begin with solution one as your original post does not indicate that you downloaded and ran the Creative Cloud desktop app uninstaller utility, but only the CC Cleaner Tool.

If you do need to implement solution two, then please make sure to locate and rename the correct OOBE folder in addition to running the CC Cleaner Tool.

Please update this public forum discussion if you have any additional questions.

Hi! I did try to use the uninstaller, and I repeatedly received error codes. I just tried to use it again today, and it's not even opening. It gives the standard "Creative Cloud Uninstaller” is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?", and then asks for my account password, which I entered (just as I did yesterday), and then just doesn't open. The window no longer pops up. I did try to rename the OOBE folder, which didn't solve the problem.

Thanks for the update, Kelseyjoyl. Did you also create the new local administrator account as discussed in solution three?  Did you encounter any specific errors under the newly created account?

Discussion successfully moved from Adobe Creative Cloud to Creative Cloud Download & Install

Deleting the host file does not solve your problem.

The most drastic problem solver would be to reinstall the OS from scratch... But I suppose the specialists will be able to give the right tips here.
