Can’t reinstall Adobe CS6!

Hi all,

Since Adobe CS6 does not work well on MacOS 10.11 El Capitan, si decided to revert back to MacOSX 10.6.8 on my 2009 MacBook Pro. My attempt to reinstall Adobe CS6 via the installer DVD was interrupted as the installer was unable to recognize any connection to the internet in order to verify the serial number. With the exception of Google, it is not possible to log on to Adobe with any browsers compatible with MacOS 10.6.8 as they are not secure. Is here a workaround?

Thx,

Warren Westbo

You need MacOS 10.8 or higher now.  Here's why:

End of Life for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 server connections.

You need TLS 1.2 connections in order to connect with Adobe servers to activate legacy CS6 software.

Hope that helps.

Thx Nancy... I was afraid that is the issue. Now to search out where to download 10.8.

Apple now has made Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion a free download:

(as well as Lion 10.7)

Apologies for the typos...

"I decided to revert back to... " "Is there a workaround?"
