Can't uninstall CC 2017 on Mac after having 2018 and canceling subscription
I previously had CC 2017 and updated to 2018... but for some reason Adobe left both versions on my computer.
I let my subscription run out because I can't afford it right now (broke as hell college student), so I was going to just reinstall my old license for CS6 to handle basic tasks... but the system will not let me because newer versions are installed and there are conflicts.
I went through the Creative Cloud and uninstalled all the 2018 files, but the 2017 ones are still there and there are still system files pointing to it. PLUS, they are taking up several Gigs of space on my limited laptop hard drive.
I found the forum posts listing the steps for uninstalling CC Updater, using the CC Cleaner, etc, and have done all those steps. No matter what I do, CC will not see the 2017 files on the system.
I came across suggestions in the forums to use the CC Updater to reinstall old 2017 versions so they populate correctly and see all the files on the system, and THEN uninstalling, but since I do not have an active subscription, the arrow and the options to download those older versions so the CC Updater/uninstaller sees them is not available.
SO.. my PRIMARY QUESTION is this: If I've used the CC Cleaner, can I just manually/force delete the files from the Applications directory on my Mac, and then remove the folder and files from the /Library/Application Support/Adobe directory? I figure that even in a worst-case scenario, if there are some system files pointing to that Application Support folder, once I install my old CS6 license, they would realign appropriately.
SECOND, if that's not the case... then what the hell can I do short of reformatting the whole thing? 😕😕
